Passport Leadership Team

The Passport Leadership Team is an advisory committee, dedicated to enhancing the program design, implementation, and quality of the Passport to Careers program. The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) partners with College Success Foundation (CSF) to convene and facilitate the PLT. The PLT is a cross-sector team of student-support practitioners and stakeholders representing the regional diversity of our state. 

The Passport Leadership Team convenes quarterly.

Passport Leadership Team has 30 members and includes representatives from:

  • Individuals with lived foster care and unaccompanied homeless experience 
  • Public and private agencies that assist current and former foster care recipients and unaccompanied youth or young adults experiencing homelessness in their transition to adulthood 
  • Student support specialists from public and private colleges and universities
  • State board for community and technical colleges
  • State workforce training and education coordinating board
  • Employment security department 
  • State apprenticeship council 

Priority areas:

Currently, the PLT operates through three focused workgroups, each dedicated to driving improvements in the following areas:

  • Passport Program Data
  • Passport Program Infrastructure
  • Passport Leadership Team Advising Structure

Previous projects:

PLT members have made significant contributions to past projects, some of which include: 

  • Development of the Passport Addendum to Participation Agreement form
  • Creation of Campus Champions Role Descriptions
  • Participation in planning the Passport to Careers Conference
  • Collaboration on the production of WPN webinar series
  • Establishment of the Regional Passport Networks

Interested in Being Involved?

New PLT members are on-boarded every summer by CSF staff.  

Contact us
Members of the PLT are requested to make the following agreements: 
  • Commit to a minimum of a two-year term. Terms begin in July and end in June. 
  • Attend and participate in all meetings.  
  • Actively participate in a related regional group and serve as a liaison from the regional group to the PLT.  
  • Maintain involvement in workgroups and/or committees. 
  • Attend the annual Passport to Careers Conference 
  • Attend, support, and/or co-lead regional events organized by the Washington Passport Network as appropriate.
