Building Regional Connections Across Washington
The Washington Passport Network is divided into six geographical regions across the state. These smaller groups allow for community-building, resource-sharing, and thought-partnership with colleagues working in closer geographic proximity than the entire state. Each region brings together a cross-disciplinary group of practitioners focused on increasing postsecondary opportunities and support for alumni of care and students experiencing homelessness.
This regional approach began in 2017 with the formation of a Regional Service Coordination Group in eastern Washington. This group was launched as a partnership with College Success Foundation, Eastern Washington University and the Washington Student Achievement Council with a goal of including the following characteristics:

After the successful pilot of the Eastern Washington Regional Service Coordination Group, CSF expanded the model across the state using the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) regional map (below) as a driving framework.
